Object memory poem

My Sculptors Qld residency is almost over! I have had an enriching and productive time connecting with the Sculptors Qld community and working with and in the historic space at the rear of the Old Museum Building site in Bowen Hills, Brisbane/Meanjin.

To see my residency out, I will be hosting an open studio over three days. The two bodies of work that I developed during my residency will be on show - Object memory poem and Hope is a form of planning and a survival tactic.

Object memory poem is a deconstructed self-portrait in the form of an immersive installation in which the viewer is invited to touch the objects on display. Hope is a form of planning and a survival tactic is for viewing only, and is a textile work made in response to COVID and the other life-changing events that 2020 has brought.

You are invited to the closing event on Saturday 14 November from 6:30-8:30pm, or to one of the day sessions on Sunday 15 from 1-3pm or Monday 16 November from 10-12 noon.
