I have been creating more oil on natural linen portraits of my colleagues. This work is a continuation of the project I started in the second half of last year (see previous posts). I am thinking about human dignity and ways it can be built up or eroded. Painting portraits of people who would not normally have their portraits painted is a way of celebrating their individuality and contributing to their self-worth.
As with all paintings, the reproductions below unfortunately are not an equal substitute to seeing the paintings 'in the real'. I will keep you posted on when they will be exhibited, hopefully in the second half of the year!
